Conditions of transport
All statements of the duration of tours are only approximate estimates. A guarantee of scheduled timing is not granted. Tours are subject to cancellation or change at any given time, whether due to weather conditions or any other, and must not be announced in advance. In case of a too small number of passengers partaking in a tour, the shipping company may cancel it. Failures or claims caused by disruption of transport are not subject to compensation. Should any following changes be so drastic, that you should seek lawful claims, they will be disregarded.
The exchange of active ships may occur at any given time. Changes to the schedule are thereby subject to change at any time. A claim for compensation is not granted. Supervision of children is the duty of their parents or corresponding guardian in any case. You are obligated to look after their well-being, and safety aboard. All orders of the crew are to be followed under any circumstance. The captain is authorized to exclude guests from transport, if they are either strongly inebriated or a danger to themselves or others.
The validity of the mentioned terms always pertains to the current year. Changes due to typos and mistakes are possible and always reserved. Thus, priority is always given to the contents of the booking confirmation or a lawful, verbal agreement.
All carried out trips are of public nature. Since these tickets are not dated and seats are not numbered, we only reserve indoor seats. A claim for distinct seats is not possible. Reservations can be made only by groups of at least 10 people. The seats are always reserved indoors.
Tickets are to be acquired on the ship, or at the register at location. Tickets are to be shown to the crew without request, and are to be held onto for the duration of the trip. Purchased tickets are only valid in their corresponding season. You will not be reimbursed in case of failure to attend the trip, and tickets will not be deemed valid for the following season. Tickets obtained through hotels, ticket offices, travel agencies, or other advance payment facilities, possess the same validity as the ones purchased at location. Their area of validity is limited to the Reederei Riedel GmbH in Berlin.
Vouchers may only be obtained through the office of Reederei Riedel GmbH. They are valid for 2 years upon the date of issue. A trade-in for their value in cash is not possible. Participating in a shorter trip does not result in compensation for the voucher’s remaining value. Participating in a higher priced tour requires a payment of the additional value at the register. Eventual differences due to increased prices are to be paid accordingly. A voucher does not guarantee a seat; you should be at the station 30 minutes prior to departure.
Tickets for special events
Tickets for special events must be preordered via telephone or E-Mail and are to be paid in advance (prepayment). The valid bonuses, price reductions, and discounts do not apply to our special events. In case of cancellation 5 days before the scheduled day, 50% of the ticket price will be reimbursed. Failing to arrive on the day of the departure will not result in any compensation or reimbursement.
Discounts / Price reductions
Only one discount may be taken advantage of at any given time. The discounts correlate to the valid regular ticket price of the applicable season.

Group discounts will only be granted if the group’s fare is paid as one complete sum. Special discounts through bonus-cards, or something of the sort, are to be acknowledged within the documents. Discounts are only applicable to the standard tours; Special events are excluded from any form of price reduction.
Food and beverages
All of our passenger ships possess an onboard kitchen. Therefore, personal food and beverage items may neither be brought, nor consumed on board.
Groups of at least 10 persons may request individual meals up to 10 days prior to departure. A free cancellation is possible up to 7 days before the trip. If this deadline is missed, the full price will be charged. Failure to arrive for the trip will also result in a full charge for the food.
Chartering one of our ships includes additional terms and conditions, which are to be acknowledged on the corresponding charter-contract.
Bicycles may only be brought aboard, if the captain has been informed of its dimensions and has approved. The bicycles will then be stored in lower-deck compartments for transport. Baby carriages are permitted for transport, free of charge. Dogs are also transported free of charge. They must be held on a leash and be supervised; larger dogs are required to wear muzzles. In case of non-compliance, Reederei Riedel GmbH will not be liable for any resulting damages or injuries. Lost and found items are to be handed to staff members, in order to ensure a quick recovery. Any damages to the ships, either to the interior, or any other part, are to be announced to staff members. The responsible customer is liable, even without proof of the damages. Complaints are to be composed into a written statement, explicating the name of the ship, and the reason for the complaint. They should then be delivered to the Reederei Riedel GmbH office for evaluation.
