Our fleet

The Reederei Riedel GmbH is with 16 ships the second largest passenger shipping company of Berlin and at the same time Germany’s most sustainable and cleanest one.

Daily, our guests have the opportunity to explore Berlin from the waterside by boat ~ food and beverages are always available aboard, since each of our ships possesses an onboard kitchen.

We and our employees put great emphasis on sustainability and environmental friendliness. That is just one reason why our fleet is constantly being modernized, since climate protection is a global challenge. One of our top goals is to constantly reduce exhaust pollution. So no wonder, that we operate Berlin’s cleanest passenger ship.

In August 2013, our passenger ship „FMS Spree-Diamant“ was awarded the green environmental badge for passenger ships from the BUND (Friends of the Earth Germany) and the campaign „Rußfrei fürs Klima“ (soot-free for the climate). Through the installation of the rust particle filter system in the year 2010, the emission of pollutants was drastically reduced.

In the beginning of the year 2013, one of our most popular passenger ships, the „FMS Kehrwieder“, was replaced by two more modern, barrier-free passenger ships. The originally from the Netherlands passenger ships “FMS Köpenick” and “FMS Rummelsburg” have become an inherent part of our daily tours. These two passenger ships are ideal for tours on the Landwehr Canal, as they can pass through the low bridges due to their flat design without any problems. Another unique characteristic of the two ships is their barrier-free design, which enables persons in wheelchairs to obtain outside-seating and move aboard freely!
In addition, our fleet includes the three panorama ships “FMS Spree-Blick I”, “FMS Spree-Blick II”, as well as “FMS Spree-Blick III” – three identical one-deck ships, which offer a unique cabriolet-feeling on Berlin’s waterways. Due to the large-size windows in the side and ceiling areas, it’s possible to enjoy a magnificent panoramic view. The large windows can to be wide opened, closed, or completely shaded depending on desire or weather – therefore, an easy adaptation to changing weather conditions is possible at any time – no matter if the sun is shining, it’s raining, hailing or snowing, on these three ships you’re always in the front row.
